This summer, San Marcos Lutheran Church will hold a Lutheran Retreat Camps and Conferences (LRCC) Day Camp!  LRCC provides a week of faith focused Bible studies and worship, games, crafts, and community service.

Day Camp is a unique blend of outdoor and congregational ministries where our amazing trained and talented summer staff bring summer camp to your church. Day Camp is for campers in Kindergarten – 6th grade. LRCC provides a week of faith-focused programming including Bible studies and worship, games, crafts and community-building activities.

Most of our youth at San Marcos Lutheran have participated in LRCC beach camps, Confirmation camps and/ or winter retreats, and many, including Mrs. McDaniel’s and Pastor Karla’s kids have served as staff with LRCC.

Theme is “Go Fish!”

based on Matthew 4:17-22.

“As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen.  And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.” – Matthew 4: 18-20

Quotes from some of our 2014 host churches when asked what they would tell churches considering hosting a Day Camp:

  • “Use these people. Loud and clear. LRCC is the best.”
  • “Highly recommend to all churches.”
  • “Go for it. Best thing ever!”
  • “DO IT! The cost to the church is worth it to have the chance for a fully staffed and prepared group to come in and take the pressure off the congregation!
