Testimonials

What families have to say:
I was so happy when Mrs. Leong decided to start a yearly art class to raise funds. She invited both current students and alumni. Each year Mrs. Leong creates a theme and meets with the students once a week for one month. She comes to us with an art degree and a passion for both art and teaching art. My daughter thrived in her classes. She came home weekly beaming with pride for the skills she had learned and the art she had created.

Whether you are looking to foster your child’s talent, interests or just looking for a way to express themselves in a positive way, I highly recommend Mrs. Leong's art class! - Lana Buckel
My nieces and nephews have attended Mrs. Leong's art program for the past two years. During this time Mrs. Leong, her staff and loving volunteers fostered an interest and deeper love for art. I enjoyed watching the kids' excitement as we drove to class and talking about what they learned after class on our way home. Their joy was contagious and we looked forward to going every week. We will never forget "GO with VAN GOGH"! This program has been such a healing and rewarding experience for our family. On a personal note, Mrs. Leong is a gifted, knowledgeable and talented teacher who is beloved by our entire community. -Teresa Martinez

This art program came along just when my daughter needed it the most. Art has been an outlet for my daughter for many years and I struggled finding a place where she would feel comfortable and accepted. Mrs. Leong provided just what she needed. Not only was she provided a safe environment to express herself through art she was given a place where she felt safe to be herself and feel accepted for who she is. I saw how much my daughter grew while attending each session and it helped her overall self-esteem . Thanks to this art program she now knows she's capable of anything she sets her mind to. - Marlene Vazquez

Both my boys (5 and 7 yo) have attended the art program and had so much fun! I LOVED hearing about everything they learned each session and they came home with the sweetest artwork that still hangs on their walls. They were so proud of the work they did at art camp! Cannot recommend SMLCC enough! - Alexis Solis
Last May, three of my kids attended the Spring Art Program. The theme was “Let’s Go with Vincent Van Gogh.” My 5-yr-old hopped in the car the first day after the program and shouted “BEST DAY EVER!” The kids all looked forward to Wednesdays in May: they painted canvas, ceramic vases, on tin foil, and learned a ton about Van Gogh as well as different mediums with which to create. We were so thrilled to be able to attend! Thank you for putting this program together, Ann and team!
