Here's all you need to know:

Address: 550 W. Washington St., Escondido, CA 92025

Arrival time: Please plan on arriving at 4:20 PM. You will be through by 6:15 PM.

  • Wear a cap and tie back your hair if it is long.
  • You do not need to wear a mask, but you may if you prefer.
  • You must wear gloves when inside.
  • Wear a baseball cap or a hair net.

You will be helping serve food and drink and then leading a game or activity.

  • If you choose, you can play Bingo (Beth has a set which she can loan you).
  • If you play Bingo, it is helpful to bring small tokens for the winners.
  • We recommend playing 3 games of Bingo.
  • You may lead another group-friendly game or offer a season-themed craft activity.
  • Your craft ideas are welcome; if you prefer, Beth can obtain materials and plan the craft. Please give Beth a few weeks to plan a craft if needed.

Around 5:00 PM, notify the residents in the dining room that you will be coordinating an activity at 5:15 PM.

Typically 3–4 volunteers are needed, but serving and the game can be done with two energetic volunteers.

  • Take 78 east and exit on Centre City Parkway south.
  • Go past the light at Centre City Parkway and Washington St.
  • Look to your right for a hotel just past the light.
  • Turn into the driveway to the right and go past the first locked black gate to the second locked black gate, then past the main entrance to the office.

When you get to the gate, pull up and wait. Call this number to reach the person in charge who will open the gate to let you inside:

Phone: 760-877-1890

Drive forward and park in front of the bright blue door; this is where the small kitchen and dining room are located.
