Baptism is a celebration of our entry into the family of God. In the Lutheran tradition, baptism is one of the two sacraments—sacred rituals that Jesus instituted. Traditionally, adults bring infants to the font for baptism, but people of all ages can be baptized into Christian community. If you would like to have a member of your family baptized, Pastor Casey will meet with you to provide you with some resources, answer any questions you have, and schedule the baptism itself. We situate baptism within the worship service on a Sunday morning, because it is a community-building event for the whole congregation to witness and welcome the newly-baptized.
Marriage is a sacred union between people, and the church community is blessed to celebrate yours with you. Our sanctuary is a beautiful space in which to host your ceremony. Pastor Casey is available to provide premarital counseling and to officiate your Christian or interfaith ceremony. People of all genders and sexual orientations wishing to be married are welcome. You can visit the Events page of this website for more information about the space; contact Pastor Casey with any questions.
Comforted by the resurrection of our Lord, we celebrate the lives of those we love who have died. Members of the congregation and their families are invited to plan their funeral services in advance, with resources and guidance from Pastor Casey. Reflecting on what scripture and music has been most meaningful throughout your life can help your loved ones honor you when the time comes.
A service in the sanctuary in honor of your dearly departed loved one can be followed by a reception in our fellowship hall, or a burial at the nearby cemetery of your choice, or interment in our columbarium. Please contact the church office with any questions or to begin the process of planning a funeral service.
Our columbarium fulfills the church’s mission to oversee the spiritual life of the congregation from baptism through life to death. Choosing the church columbarium offers a serene and sacred final resting place for your loved one. Nestled within our sanctuary, their memory remains a cherished part of our community.
The columbarium holds single and double niches for urns; the singles cost $900 and the doubles $1800. This cost includes the cost of the columbarium’s construction, the niche, inscription of the marble niche cover, and the perpetual care and maintenance of the columbarium.
Please contact the church office with any questions, or to begin the process of reserving a niche for yourself or your loved one.
